I try to follow a Mediterranean diet as much as possible. When I read that people on that regimen are living the longest, I strive to adhere to it even more. A Mediterranean diet consists of eating primarily plant-based foods, such as fruits and vegetables, whole grains, legumes and nuts. Butter is replaced with a healthy fat, such as olive oil.
